The Coral Oasis
Zoo Limited Editions

Zoo Limited Edition Corals from The Coral Oasis are rare and exotic zoanthids and palythoas that are distributed on a limited basis only. Typically these rare organisms produce only a specifically limited amount of offspring per month. The coral farmers who distribute through The Coral Oasis only distribute a limited quantity of these organisms. Buyers are able to reserve future offspring of these limited editions online. Their current reserved status can be checked through these pages. Throughout 2008 we will be adding at least one new limited edition coral species per month as time permits. We are currently looking at several potential new Limited Edition corals. We will be traveling around the country searching for new and unusual corals from people during Frank Burr's Road Trips. We hope to acquire new Limited Edition and Exotic corals from them for propagation. Tropical Reef Oasis is shipping all Limited Edition Fragments within Igloo Coolers to help ensure their safe arrival. These coolers are much stronger then the typical cardboard covered styrafoam containers which occasionally crack and get crushed by fed ex and UPS. Outer cardboard boxes can get destroyed if there is any water leakage. There is reservation policy note at the bottom of this page to clarify our LE Limited Edition reservation process.

Reservation Policy - Reservations for corals will be made by the folllowing method; 1st available reservation after First Edition will goto reservation list, 2nd available reservation will goto a current Road Trip List for that month and will be made available to that location. The following available dates will alternate in the same fashion. All reservation dates are only approximate harvesting and shipping dates. For example, if a reef aquarist makes a reservation for October 2007 and another reservation for December 2007, we can still ship both together to save the reef aquarists shipping costs. Some reservations may be shipped ahead of other reservations. This is only done to ship multiple reservations by reef aquarists together whenever possible. We will try to only ship multiple reservations together in the same shipment to the same reef aqaurist if the aquarist reservations dates are no more then 5 months apart. Occasionally we get reservation cancellations. On the reservation schedule cancellations are handled many different ways. If the coral is producing fragments at rates that keep up with the schedule and the reservation date is in the future, it will be marked available. If the coral is producing fragments at rates that keep up with the schedule and the reservation date is within a few months of current, it will offerred to a private cancellation email list. If the coral is producing fragments at rates that keep up with the schedule and the reservation date is in the past, the reservation and fragment will be sold to the reef company Tropical Reef Oasis. They will auction the reservation and fragment on Ebay. If the coral is not producing fragments at rates that keep up with the schedule and the reservation is within a few months of the current date, the reservation for that month will be cancelled and will not be available to reef aquarists. If the coral is not producing fragments at rates that keep up with the schedule and the reservation is more then a few months in the future, the reservation for that month will be made available to reef aquarists. We will assume that the growth rate will eventually increase. Please note - we cannot automatically move everyones reservation ahead one month just because someone ahead cancelled their reservation. This is because some reef aquarist may not want their reservation moved ahead. Notifying each aquarists when a reservation is cancelled is too time consuming. So if you already have a reservation for a coral and you see that an earlier reservation has become available, please send us email asking to be moved ahead to that reservation. If you are looking for a new reservation and you happen to see an early one become available, consider yourself lucky. When a reservation is made it is made for the month reserved and does not guarantee any specific shipping order. Also, The Coral Oasis reserves the right to cancell any and all reservations due to the loss of a parent colony or colonies or due to the inability to contact the aquarist who has the reservation. Full refunds will be given for any cancellation that was paid for before reciept of the reservation or any deposits that were made.
