Green Goblin Favites - TCO Mother colony
|
This Favites sp. was obtained from Walt Smith/PAF in 2004. The body coloration
of this Favites is a light emerald green body with blood red eyes for an intensly
striking contrast. Growth rate has been slow to moderate.The pictured colony
you see is after about 2 yesrs after aquisition. A nice smmoth encrusting growth.
A beautiful coral. This Limited Edition is being grown by The Coral Oasis who
is distributing and growing fragments of this coral from the colony we acquired
in early 2004. Frank Burr is propagating this coral in a SPS/LPS propagation
system at The Coral Oasis growout and distribution facility. The coral is positioned
at about 22 inches from a 175watt 20,000K XM Metal Halide (14" water depth).
Water current is slow to moderate. Starting in February 2007, The Coral Oasis
is allowed to distribute 1 farmed fragment of this spectacular coral Bi-monthly.
Price is currently $90 per small sized fragment. The Bi-monthly limited edition

This Limited Edition coral has been selected for First Edition Auctioning through
Tropical Reef
Oasis. The very first fragment of this coral produced
and grown within the The Coral Oasis facility will be auctioned beginning February
2007 to the highest bidder. Limited Edition corals are obtained thru trades
with hobbyists all over the U.S. Many of the corals listed were found during
Frank Burr's Coral Road Trips during 2005~2006 and continuing in 2007. After
this First Edition Auction the coral becomes a normal Limited Edition each month
where The Coral Oasis earns each months reservation income by growing the captive
fragment. The Coral Oasis propagation facility is closed to the public and available
by appointment only.
