Kryptonite Cyphastrea - TCO Mother colony

This glowing Cyphastrea ocellina was obtained as an import wild colony in March
of 2007. This Cyphastrea has a nice even Kryptonite Green coloration throughout
the body and polyps. The growth form is encrusting onto whatever surface it
finds itself. Recently coloration has deepened and the coral just glows in the
tank, standing out from it's surrounding neighbors! Growth rate has been moderate.
The pictured colony you see is after 2 months in the main propagation system
at The Coral Oasis. Does well under most lighting intensities, develops a deeper
green color with less light. This Limited Edition is being grown by The Coral
Oasis who is distributing and growing fragments of this coral from the colony
we acquired in 2006. Frank Burr is propagating this coral in a SPS/LPS propagation
system at The Coral Oasis grow out and distribution facility. The coral is currently
positioned at about 20 inches below a 250w 20,000K XM Metal Halide (10"
water depth). Water current is moderate. Starting in September 2007, The Coral
Oasis will distribute 1 farmed fragment of this spectacular coral monthly. Price
is currently $70 per small sized fragment. The Monthly limited edition reservation

Please note -
This Limited Edition coral has been selected for First Edition Auctioning through
Tropical Reef
Oasis. The very first fragment of this coral produced
and grown within the The Coral Oasis facility will be auctioned beginning June
2007 to the highest bidder. Limited Edition corals are obtained thru trades
with hobbyists all over the U.S. Many of the corals listed were found during
Frank Burr's Coral Road Trips during 2005~2007 and continuing in 2008. After
this First Edition Auction the coral becomes a normal Limited Edition each month
where The Coral Oasis earns each months reservation income by growing the captive
fragment. The Coral Oasis propagation facility is closed to the public and available
by appointment only.
